You can update your profile image/avatar, name, email address and basic preferences in My Account in the Settings & Members menu on desktop. This is also where you can delete your Notion account when you no longer need it. Updates you make to your account information affect all of your Notion workspaces.
๐Ÿ‘‰
Note: These changes can't be made from the mobile app, except for password settings.

Change your profile image

  • Click Settings & Members at the top of the left sidebar.
  • Select My Account at the top left of that window.
  • Under Photo, select Upload Photo.
  • Choose the photo you want and click Open.
  • Click Update to save your changes.

Change your email address

  • Click Settings & Members at the top of the left sidebar.
  • Select My Account in the sidebar of the new window.
  • Within Personal Info and Email, click Change Email.
  • Enter your new email address and click Send Verification Code.
  • You'll receive an email with a verification code at the new address.
  • Copy the verification code sent to your new email address; paste it into Notion and click Change Email.
๐ŸŽ’
Tip: If you use the same email address for your Notion account and your Google account, you'll be able to use Continue with Google to log in to Notion.

Update your name

  • Click Settings & Members at the top of the left sidebar.
  • Select My Account in the sidebar of the new window.
  • Within Personal Info, enter your Given Name (first name) and Family Name (last name).
  • Click Update at the bottom to save the change.

Password settings

Notion offers more password options than the average app to accommodate all kinds of users around the world. By default, your account will be set up to use temporary passwords each time you log in. These temporary passwords keep you logged in for 90 days per device before you're asked to log in again. You can set a permanent password if you want.
๐Ÿ‘‰
Important Note: Never share your password with anyone, even Notion support! If someone's claiming to be Notion support and asking for your password, it's not us.

Set a permanent password

  • Click Settings & Members at the top of the left sidebar, and then My Account.
    • If you're on mobile, tap Notifications & Settings in your sidebar.
  • Click the Set a Password button.
  • Enter a password that meets the security requirements, and repeat to confirm.

Change password

  • You can change an existing password by clicking the Change Password button:

Remove password

  • If you'd rather not associate a password with your account, you can go back to logging in with temporary passwords for each new login.
  • To do this, click Remove Password.

Reset password

  • If you forgot your password, navigate to notion.so/login in your web browser.
  • Click the Continue with email button.
  • Enter the email address associated with your Notion account.
  • Click the Forgot password? button, and then the Send Reset Link button.
  • We'll send a link to your email address. When you click that link, you'll be taken to Settings & Members in your Notion workspace, where you'll have the option to set a new password.
    • If you do not set a new password at this point, you'll return to logging in via temporary password for each new login.
๐Ÿ‘‰
Note: If you use Continue with Google to login, you'll be asked for your Google password, not your Notion password. Your Notion password only applies when you're using Continue with email.

Start your calendar week on Monday

Calendars in Notion will use Sunday or Monday as the first day of the week, depending on your region. That includes the date picker for reminders and calendar databases. If you prefer, you can change this manually.
  • Click Settings & Members at the top of the left sidebar.
  • Select My Account in the sidebar of the new window.
  • Within Calendar Settings, toggle on Start Week on Monday.
  • Click Update at the bottom to save the change.

Delete your account

In some cases, you might want to delete your Notion account. This is permanent, and will automatically delete all workspaces and cancel any paid plans. You'll want to have 100% confidence that you'll no longer need that information. Consider backing it up beforehand. Learn about backing up your data here.
  • Click Settings & Members at the top of the left sidebar.
  • Select My Account in the sidebar of the new window.
  • Under Danger Zone, click Delete My Account.
  • Enter the email address associated with your account.
  • Click Permanently Delete Account.
